February 25, 2012 – “Celebrating Things……With Wings!”
This free educational conference on Birds, Bats, Butterflies and Bees will be held the Arden Shisler Conference Center in Wooster, Ohio.
June 16, 2012 – Suburban Field Trip in Powell, Ohio
Darlene Sillick will take us on a Birding adventure that will include Prothonotary Warblers in their habitat; a Tree Swallow grid; a Purple Martin Rig and maybe an Osprey platform.
July 21, 2012 - the Ohio Bluebird Society will sponsor an educational field trip in the Columbus area. OBS members will be able to tour Green Lawn Cemetery, Smith Cemetery Prairie Nature Preserve and Bigelow Cemetery Prairie Nature Preserve with each site offering special opportunities to view birds, insects, butterflies and prairie wildflowers. Cost of the tour will be $15/person and all of the proceeds will be donated to the Green Lawn Cemetery Foundation. Space is limited to 20 people and reservations will be secured on a “first come, first served” basis.
